Outreach is the most important aspect of CARTS.
We try to show that no matter who you are, we like to talk and are willing to listen. We have been surprised many times by what people have to tell us. Listening to someone's story is a sacred gift.

Food and Drink
While we walk around downtown Victoria BC, we offer people some simple food items and a drink. Meals are food safe, fresh, and portable and can include fruit, dairy, pastries, and our well-loved CARTS cookies.
In the warmer months we offer iced tea, and in the colder months we offer hot chocolate (the best!)

Clothes
For the last few years we have been able to collect a lot of good and usable clothing that we make available to people on the street. We plan to hand out socks, toques, gloves, rain ponchos, and similar smaller clothing items. At this time, we will not be looking for larger bulky clothing items due to the heavy work load involved in washing, storing, and handling them.
