Welcome to CARTS Outreach

We are a small, interdenominational, volunteer-driven charity providing
love, respect, clothing, and food to anyone in need
on the streets of Victoria, BC.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Summer Break 2010
After eight winters on the street, the founders are in need of some time off and a reassessment of how to adapt the operation to the changing needs on Victoria's streets. Click here for more details. It is expected that a general meeting of volunteers and members will be held at the end of August. The site will be updated after this time.

If you have ever walked the downtown area on a Friday evening, chances are you have seen a group walking through the streets pulling garden carts. That is the CARTS team!

What Do We Do?
We provide a simple, nutritious meal, a hot or cold drink, some clothes, a listening ear, or prayer when requested for people who live on the streets of downtown Victoria. Over the years, we have built a reputation of trust, reliability, respect, and friendship with many of the people we serve. Many of our volunteers have a long history of ministering those living on the streets or in poverty situations.

What Does Our Name Mean?
CARTS stands for Christian Actions Reflecting The Spirit.
We are an organization which shows our Christian faith through action. We transport our food, drink, and clothing items on our small garden carts that inspired the name of our outreach ministry!
